Student Council
The students at St. Alphonsus/ St. Patrick School learn to be leaders while also learning a bit about governance by participating in our Student Council. The council is comprised of five officers and two representatives from each fourth through eighth grade classroom. The officers are elected by the student body. This election teaches the candidates and the other students about campaigning and the election process.
The Student Council meets twice per month, and during their meetings, the representatives plan events that promote school spirit, provide resources that benefit all students, and offer service to others in our school and wider community. The members of the Student Council also highlight outstanding students, staff members and community members by awarding the Spirit Award every week. The collective creativity and excellent work ethic of our Student Council membership helps to promote school spirit and spread kindness throughout the school community.
